The exhibition presents a series of new, previously unseen watercolors created in 2024. In the artist’s work, water techniques are the basis of his plastic vocabulary. The phenomenon of the water solution, with its spills, flows, washes, eternal movement, with surprising, bizarre color and structural vibrations, provokes the creative process in unexpected directions of experiment and discovery. Randomness, even error, provokes the creative will to achieve a new spatial – plastic organization. There is enormous artistic excitement in the act of overcoming and mastering the spilling material, with the imposition of control in the process of creating form from formlessness, of extracting aesthetic order from chaos. In watercolor, there is the most intimate, intimate rapprochement of the painter with the work possible. A technique that allows for the full integration of artistic improvisation with all the assets of the whole personality – vitality, cultural layers, creative will and freedom. In the act of creation, the inner contents of the doer are revealed, expressed directly through the energy of an authentic psychomotor gesture. Watercolor painting is an act of ecstatic immersion in the movement and stroke of the brush, in the spilling of the water stain, with its color vibration, structure, transparency, intensity. Watercolor is a fascinating artistic adventure into the unknown, the ever-changing, the phenomenal. An adventure of spilling water on the white space of the sheet, following only the intuitive impulses of the creative will to create an autonomous, unique, inexplicable aesthetic order and harmony.
